Living Space and our client were inspired by the integrity of this historic lakeside home, seeking to maintain its elegance with every design decision. Highly crafted detailing with understated material selections allow this kitchen to feel both contemporary and timeless, utilizing natural light to fill the space and generous circulation to give a sense of inviting openness. The once closed off galley kitchen incompatible with modern ways of cooking and living, now flows comfortably into the home’s shared family spaces. Open stone shelves incorporate display for ceramic art, while finely detailed custom cabinetry simplify and declutter. The movement of natural stone veining echo the expressiveness of white oak, creating visual harmony.
