TUDOR RETROFIT
This classic Tudor home underwent extensive renovation, resulting in a beautiful blending of original and new craftsmanship. A box bay window addition, incorporating custom window reproduction and herringbone exterior brick façade, adds usable dining space and open garden view from the dinette. The garden room, once resigned to only exterior access, has been transformed into a wine nook with an added archway highlighting the original round top door. Formerly walled off, the maid’s stair has been opened up to the kitchen, with custom iron railing by Tyler Studios.
All custom kitchen details like the zinc hood, hand-glazed wall tile with charcoal grout, knotty alder and black walnut cabinets, rustic faux beams, and statuary marble island top create a beautifully refined style.
The dining room showcases a custom black walnut built-in cabinet with hand-hammered zinc counter. While in the study, a custom hand-carved dark marble fireplace and mantle harmonize with the home’s character.
